Astrology

Astrology is a belief system that suggests a relationship between the positions and movements of celestial bodies—such as planets and stars—and events and characteristics in human life. Practitioners of astrology, known as astrologers, create horoscopes based on the precise positions of celestial bodies at a person’s birth to interpret and predict personality traits, behaviors, and potential life events. Astrology encompasses various traditions, including Western astrology, Vedic astrology, and Chinese astrology, each with its own methodologies and symbolism. Central to astrology is the concept of the zodiac, a division of the ecliptic into twelve signs, each associated with distinct traits and influences. While astrology has been practiced for thousands of years across cultures, it is considered a pseudoscience by the scientific community, as its claims lack empirical support and are not based on the scientific method. Despite this, astrology remains popular in various forms around the world, often used for personal insight and guidance.
